At Evans Precast, we boast a fleet of Tractor Units, comprising 44t tractor units and 55t tractor units. Meanwhile, Shay Murtagh Precast has a larger fleet, with Tractor Units, including 44t tractor units, 4 80t tractor units, 150t tractor units, and 180t tractor units. And that’s not all – Shay Murtagh Precast is expanding with more Tractor Units set to join our fleet in 2023.

Shay Murtagh Group have successfully completed almost 6000 deliveries in the past 12 months, expertly transporting almost 150,000 tonnes of concrete pieces with a significant portion, crossing from Ireland to Great Britain via ferry, accounting for an impressive 86% of their loads.

Bespoke

A large part of the Company provides for bespoke concrete units to specific exacting requirements and safe and timely transportation of that product is critical. Our experience in delivering abnormal and standard units for all types major development projects is ensured by the Shay Murtagh Precast Logistics Team working side by side with our inhouse design and production teams during the course of a project.

Modern Fleet

Our modern fleet consists of heavy haulage tractor units, flat trailers, trombones, extendible 3 and 4 axle bridge beam trailers, bogie and dolly combinations units and extendible step frame trailers. We also have a number of urban steer trailers to cater for tight city streets. This secures our ability to provide all transport needs of the products we manufacture and meet the expectations and specifications of supply chain to our Clients. Our fleet is maintained inhouse by our experienced team of fitters and mechanics but we also have key maintenance assistance partnerships throughout the UK and Ireland where immediate onsite repair is required

Dedicated Team

The dedicated logistics team at Shay Murtagh are highly motivated and strive for excellence every day. It has become their goal and mission statement to provide our customers with a world class and dedicated logistics service. The team have over 20 years’ experience in meeting and exceeding our customer requirements and are all trained to the highest level and hold a minimum of a transport management CPC. The drivers are highly skilled and are seen as seasoned pilots enabling delivery of valuable goods.
