KEPAK – Waste Water Treatment Plant

In August 2008 Shay Murtagh were appointed by one of Europes largest food processing companies ‘KEPAK’ to construct a number of precast, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete tanks for the waste water treatment plant in their Kilbeggan facility.

The project itself involved the construction of five tanks including Balance, Anoxic, Aeration, Sludge and Settlement tanks. The tanks vary in sizes between the 3.5m high Settlement Tank with a 10.40m diameter to the 5m high Balance Tank with a 28.06m diameter.
