Liam McGovern Launches Bridge Beam Technical Manual Edition 3

Bridge Beam Technical Manual Edition 3 launch Video Liam McGovern, Shay Murtagh’s Technical Director, launched the  latest Bridge Beam Technical Manual Edition 3 with BIM at the Infrarail 2014 Exhibition at Earls Court in London earlier this year.

In this interview, he stresses that Shay Murtagh Precast is one of very few companies to offer not only a full range of precast concrete bridge beam products, but also the BIM technical resource to support their use.

In the video, Liam explains that the Shay Murtagh Bridge Beam Technical Manual has been well known in the industry for combining in one volume all the facts and figures necessary for construction using precast concrete bridge beam elements. The new edition, with BIM underpins the company’s dedication to delivering the highest quality product in the most effective way.

 

New Edition with Building Information Modelling

Liam continues to say how the Bridge Beam Technical Manual Edition 3 has been revised to reflect the great changes to the industry resulting from BIM, which he describes as ‘the model space in which everyone now works’. He comments also on the twenty per cent cost savings being demanded by the UK Government’s Construction Strategy as ‘a big ask’, for which BIM would be the industry’s vehicle for delivery.
