The last Tunnel Segments Delivery leaves for C310

Today the last truck deliveries of tunnel segments will leave our factory for the Crossrail C310 site in London.

To date over 3,400 loads have been delivered from our manufacturing facility in Raharney to site.

This tunnel drive is now almost complete to final breakthrough and includes the construction of two tunnels with a total length of around 5.5 kilometres from Plumstead to North Woolwich, part of which runs under the River Thames.

The Last Tunnel Segments Leave

C310 – is contracted to HOCHTIEF Murphy Joint Venture (HMJV),  and in September 2012 HMJV awarded Shay Murtagh Precast the prestigious specialist manufacture of the precast concrete segmental tunnel linings.  Since then we have manufactured nearly thirty thousand individual precast concrete tunnel segments and transported the same to the site.

So this wet and windy morning as the last tunnel segments leave our factory, we would like to thank all our team for their commitment to quality and performance! We would also like to thank our HMJV colleagues on site in London, Riku, Andreas, Stephan, Eoin, and Chris and their team, the German base QC team of Mario and Andreas and in particular our logistical teams and we look forward to our next contract together!
