Jackson Civil Engineering approached Geosystems to create a GridLok system for The Beach development in Carlyon Bay, Cornwall. The project to develop an area of the bay required steep slopes to allow space for an access road. Geosystems designed and manufactured a bespoke solution in the from of a 60° GridLok system. The result was a 3M high reinforced embankment to support the access road.
The face of the GridLok was then vegetated by hand seeding the topsoil zone with a local specified seed mixture to blend in with the surrounding landscaping and become ‘invisible.’ The client was pleased with the finished product as aesthetics were a key consideration to the £200million development.
