This is part of a £70m programme to cut journey times on the Midland Main Line. The line is between London and Sheffield in the UK.

MPB Structures Ltd, contracted by Network Rail to reconstruct the four span Victorian Road Bridge.

The bridge consists of 8 no cill units with weights varying from 25 to 54 tonne, 21 no internal box beams and 6 number external box beams. The external beam incorporated a brick sandwich parapet and supplied to site with the copings in place for speed of construction. To complete the structure 26 no brick clad approach parapet, also manufactured and delivered to the project.

Once manufactured a trial erection completed in-house and inspected by the Clients. Disassembled and delivered by our logistics team to site as per project timetable. The road bridge installed in May 2013 with final works including road surfacing completed. The bridge to re-open for use in October 2013.
