Congratulations HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture (HMJV),
Delighted to have been a delivery partner in this epic project for the National Grid in the manufacture and delivery of precast concrete tunnel segments for the 32.5km route. Over 170,000 individual concrete units to make rings for the project with manufacture beginning in November 2020.
All 32.5km of the project’s underground route are now complete, all tunnel segments manufactured and delivered and installation of 200km of high voltage cable is under way between substations at Wimbledon and Crayford.
The LPT project’s new transmission infrastructure is due to be fully operational by 2026. It aims to reinforce and future-proof London’s electricity network as demand in the capital grows
This is our second tunnel project with @HMJV, with the previous being the iconic C310 Crossrail Thames Tunnel, and a pleasure to collaborate with the whole team. We look forward to the next one !!
